HYALOX 130

HYALOX 130 Hyaluronate Sodium, Mannitol

Hyalox for Horses, 10 ml flacon is used to treat arthritis and joint pain in horses. This product contains pure hyaluronate sodium (HA) which aids in the production of synovial fluid, an important component of connective tissue.

Product description

Hyalox is a sterile lubricant supplied in a glass vial that contains high Dalton levels (1.3 million).

Active ingredients

Hyaluronate Sodium is produced by a bacterial fermentation process, extracted from the capsule of Streptococcus spp. and then purified. This process generates a form free of protein, pyrogen, and nucleic acids.

Indications for use

Hyalox in indicated in the healing of degenerative joint disease and in the treatment of arthritis and joint pain in horses. One major function of Hyaluronate Sodium is the regulation of normal cell constituents that decrease the impact of exudation, enzyme release, and subsequent degradation of joint integrity. Injected directly into the joint pouch, it enhances the healing of the inflamed synovium by restoring the lubrication of the joint fluid. It also exerts an anti-inflammatory action.

ARTREXA Antioxidant

N-Acetylcysteine also exhibits direct antioxidant properties by interacting with the electrophilic group of oxidant radicals through its nucleophilic free thiol (-SH) group. N-acetylcysteine, which easily enters the cell due to its molecular structure, is deacetylated here and turns into L-cysteine. L-cysteine is a glutathione precursor and increases glutathione synthesis.

DESCRIPTION:

Each 10 mL vial of GAG 600 contains 600 mg of Polysulfated Glycosaminoglycan (PSGAG) in a sterile aqueous solution (60 mg/mL).

PHARMACOLOGY:

Polysulfated Glycosaminoglycan (PSGAG) is a semi-synthetic compound structurally similar to the glycosaminoglycans naturally found in articular cartilage. It acts as a potent inhibitor of catabolic enzymes responsible for cartilage degradation. PSGAG helps reduce inflammation, promotes cartilage regeneration, and enhances the quality and volume of synovial fluid.

Following administration, PSGAG accumulates in joint tissues within two hours. However, clinical improvement may take up to 2–4 weeks to be observed.

INDICATIONS:

GAG 600 is indicated for the treatment of non-infectious, traumatic, or degenerative joint dysfunction in dogs, cats, and horses. It supports joint structure, improves mobility, and helps reduce pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis or joint trauma.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:

Dogs and Cats:

•Intramuscular (IM): 4 mg/kg twice weekly for 4 weeks

•Intra-articular (IA): 1–10 mL once weekly for 5 weeks (based on joint size)

Horses:

•Intramuscular (IM): 500 mg (8.3 mL) every 4 days for a total of 28 days (7 doses)

•Intra-articular (IA): 250–500 mg (4.2–8.3 mL) once weekly for up to 5 weeks, depending on the size and condition of the joint

Thoroughly cleanse the injection site prior to administration. Do not mix GAG 600 with other drugs or solutions in the same syringe.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

Do not use in animals with:

•Known hypersensitivity to PSGAG

•Suspected or diagnosed bleeding disorders

•Septic (infectious) arthritis

Use with caution in animals with hepatic or renal impairment. Safety has not been established in breeding, pregnant, or lactating animals.

PRECAUTIONS:

Use caution when administering GAG 600 with anticoagulants (e.g., warfarin, heparin) or antiplatelet agents (e.g., aspirin, clopidogrel) due to increased risk of bleeding. Avoid concurrent use with corticosteroids, which may mask signs of joint infection.

ADVERSE REACTIONS:

When administered as directed, adverse reactions are rare. Possible side effects include:

•Temporary pain or swelling at the injection site

•Mild vomiting or diarrhea (in small animals)

•Abnormal bleeding

Contact your veterinarian if you observe anorexia, lethargy, persistent vomiting, diarrhea, or any unusual symptoms. Report all suspected adverse reactions.

Chondroitin Sulfate Injectable Solution

CHONDROX is a veterinary injectable solution containing Chondroitin Sulfate, developed to support joint health and mobility in animals. Chondroitin Sulfate is a natural component of cartilage that helps maintain the structural integrity, elasticity, and resilience of joint tissues.

CHONDROX is formulated to support the regeneration and protection of damaged cartilage, tendons, and ligaments. It selectively accumulates in deteriorated cartilage tissue, promoting repair processes and helping maintain normal joint function. The product also contributes to bone mineralization and supports the flexibility of connective tissues.

0.5 mL per 10 kg body weight, up to a maximum dose of 5 mL. Administer every 5–7 days for a minimum of 3 applications.
